Nine Months Old

H turns 9 months old today...it is such a weird thought. On one hand I think, wow, he's already nine whole months old. On the other hand I think, he's only 9 months....he's been with us forever. It is hard to remember life pre-H. He fits into our lives so perfectly. I would not change one thing. I love his smiles. I love his laughs. I love his pudgy little legs and his rolly polly belly. I love that he likes to kiss me on the cheek and neck and shoulders. I love the way he is so excited about each new day when he wakes up in the morning.

Short and simple, I love him.

He's got his crawling down to an art now, and he absolutely loves doors, vents, the gate by the stairs. He loves gingerbread cookies and sweet potatoes. Could live without carrrots though. Loves sitting in his high chair and eating cheerios. Loves sitting at the counter and watching his brother and sister. Stops in his tracks when he hears mommy singing, he just watches my mouth move. Likes to read books, but also likes to eat books. We're working on it. Started pulling himself up on furniture. The crib mattress has been lowered and the bumper is gone. He's turning into a "big boy" now.

Not a day goes by that I do not thank God for this precious little one and the gift he is to me.
