Over and Done.
The birthday week/weekend is over and done. As much as I love birthdays, this year seemed like A LOT.
Today we had our family over to celebrate both my birthday and Miss Maddy's. I made Madison a heart shaped cupcake-cake.
It was my first time making this sort of concoction, but it was fun. Turned out looking very cute too.
Jeff, of course, got a Dairy Queen ice cream cake for me. My favorite. As one who doesn't much like cake, it's such a fun treat.
Had a wonderful time with family.
Enjoyed watching Madison open her gifts from family, she's still figuring out those social graces of how to act when you get something you already have. And I'm still having a hard time understanding why we need a Baby Alive doll, when the last time I checked, we do indeed have a real-live baby living here.
I got my membership to the Children's Museum (thank you again mom and dad), and several nice gift cards.
Another birthday come and gone. Over and done.
Like Madison says, 360some days and counting.
